- Two ships[1] - On 9 June 2003, Orage, on a Operation Corymbe mission, evacuated personnel from Monrovia. At the start of 2008, Tonnerre was involved in the Corymbe 92 mission, a Maritime Security Operations mission in the Gulf of Guinea. During this deployment, Tonnerre acted on tip-offs from the European Maritime Analysis and Operations Centre – Narcotics, and intercepted 5.7 tonnes of smuggled cocaine: 2.5 tonnes from a fishing vessel 520 kilometres (280 nmi) from Monrovia on 29 January, and 3.2 tonnes from a cargo ship 300 kilometres (160 nmi) off Conakry.
- For Corymbe Mission 105, LPD SirocoCor spent 33 consecutive days at sea off two African countries (Gunea and Ivory Coast), ready in case local elections raised tensions and endangered French citizens. Her orders were to prepare for an evacuation and support the French Operation Licorne force in Cote d'Ivoire. On December 15, Siroco was relieved by the LHD Tonnerre who kicked off Corymbe Mission 106 with 63 consecutive days at sea.
